El Dorado County, Placer County and Nevada County officials have released preliminary results for the primary election that took place on Tuesday, June 2.

El Dorado County

Governor race (top five):

  • Steve Hilton, Rep. 40.59% (21,464 votes)
  • Xavier Becerra, Dem. 18.40% (9,731 votes)
  • Chad Bianco, Rep. 15.18% (8,026 votes)
  • Tom Steyer, Dem. 14.57% (7,706 votes)
  • Matt Mahan, Dem. 3.44% (1,818 votes)

Lieutenant governor race (top five):

  • Gloria Romero, Rep. 23.79% (11,859 votes)
  • Fiona Ma, Dem. 17.09% (8,520 votes)
  • David Collenberg, Rep. 13.22% (6,591 votes)
  • David Fennell, Rep. 10.64% (5,306 votes)
  • Josh Fryday, Dem. 10.24% (5,105 votes)
