OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. — Palisades Tahoe will welcome guests to the mountains for a full season of festivals featuring live music, local food and beverages, family-friendly activities and community celebrations.

From craft beer and funk music to wine tasting, Bavarian traditions and locally made goods, this year’s festival lineup offers something for everyone. Several events will also raise funds for nonprofit organizations serving the Lake Tahoe and Truckee communities.

Brews, Jazz & Funk

Saturday, August 8

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Brews, Jazz & Funk returns as one of Palisades Tahoe’s most beloved summer traditions. Enjoy craft beer from local breweries while listening to live jazz, funk and soul music. This dog-friendly event is fun for the whole family, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. 

Alpen Wine Fest

Sunday, September 6

Guests can celebrate the final weeks of summer with an all-inclusive wine tasting from more than 40 wineries, live music and a silent auction. Proceeds will support Can Do MS, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of people living with multiple sclerosis.

Guitar Strings vs. Chicken Wings

Friday, September 11

Six restaurants and six bands will compete for the titles of Best Wing and Best Band during this annual Village tradition. Guests can sample chicken wings, enjoy live music and vote for their favorites. Proceeds will benefit the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science.

Adventure Van Expo

Saturday and Sunday, September 12–13

The Adventure Van Expo will feature custom van builds, overland equipment, outdoor products, food, local beer and live music. Van owners can also enter the DIY Van Build Contest and showcase their vehicles. The event is family-friendly and open to anyone interested in van life and outdoor travel.

Oktoberfest

Saturday, September 26

Palisades Tahoe will celebrate its 19th annual Oktoberfest with German beer, brats, pretzels and Bavarian music. Guests can also participate in OktoberGames, including the Stein Race and Brat Toss. This year’s event will feature expanded food and beverage options and a new VIP lounge experience.

Made in Tahoe Fall Festival

Saturday and Sunday, October 10–11

The Made in Tahoe Fall Festival will close out the festival season with a two-day celebration of local artists, makers, musicians and entrepreneurs. The event will feature products and performances created, brewed, grown or inspired in the Lake Tahoe Basin and Truckee region.

Bonus: Bluesdays Free Concert Series

Every Tuesday through September 1

The Bluesdays Free Concert Series brings nationally recognized blues musicians to The Village at Palisades Tahoe every Tuesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy free outdoor music, mountain views, bar service and dining from Village restaurants. The series runs from June 30 through September 1 and offers a lively way to spend a summer evening in Olympic Valley.
