SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Eighth grade students Amelie Torres-Flores and Ximena Perez were crowned the winners of this year’s color run flyer contest.

The contest showcases students’ creative designs leading up to South Tahoe Middle School’s (STMS) biggest fundraiser of the year – The STMS Color Run.

As the winners, Torres-Flores and Perez won a $30 gift certificate to RetroArcade and a $20 gift certificate to Baked Bear, as well as bragging rights as their flyer is featured all over town, the school, Facebook and Instagram.

Organized by the PTA, the STMS Color Run is an annual event where students have the opportunity to run or walk laps around a course while being enveloped in colorful, non-toxic color powder.
