SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – A 64-year-old woman is dead, and two are injured following a crash on US-50 at Meadow Vale Drive on Thursday afternoon.
Dispatch received a call about a three-vehicle crash around 1:14 p.m.
According to the South Lake Tahoe California Highway Patrol collision report, the 64-year-old woman from Dayton, Nev., was driving a Subaru sports car westbound on US-50.
For unknown reasons, the woman drifted onto the right shoulder, over-corrected and swerved into the eastbound lane, hitting a Toyota RAV4 and then a RAM pickup.

The driver of the Toyota is a 63-year-old South Lake Tahoe woman who complained of abrasion and pain. A 47-year-old woman from Placerville, Calif., drove the RAM pickup and complained of pain following the crash.
First responders pronounced the Subaru driver deceased on scene.
Investigators do not suspect alcohol or drugs to be a factor in the collision.
