Rap sensation Murs is set to perform in the basin this weekend.
"For over two decades, Murs has fearlessly rapped with power, poise and purpose. Picking up a mic in high school, he founded 3 Melancholy Gypsys before logging time in influential West Coast collective Living Legends," states the artist's biography.
Murs' solo debut, "F'Real," dropped in 1997 and was followed by underground hits such as "The End of the Beginning," "Murs for President" and "Have A Nice Life."
Just last year Murs released "Captain California," which was listed on Billboard's Top 25 Independent Albums Chart.
"Simultaneously, he remains the consummate 'rapper's rapper.' Between six lauded collaborative releases with 9th Wonder, he joined forces with Sacha Jenkins and iconic Bad Brains bassist Daryl Jennifer in The White Mandingos and shared bars with everybody from Kendrick Lamar and E-40 to Snoop Dogg and Warren G," continues the bio.
Murs set a Guinness World Record in 2016 for rapping 24 hours non-stop (which he set during a Twitch.tv livestream, according to his biography).
The rapper's next album — "A Strange Journey Into The Unimaginable" — is expected to drop on his 40th birthday: Friday, March 16.
Murs is seemingly unstoppable. Don't miss the chance to see the musician live on Tahoe's South Shore on Sunday, Feb. 18, at 9:30 p.m.
The show, held at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, is open to guests at least 21 years of age. Tickets cost $17 and are available on the venue's website (www.hardrockcasinolaketahoe.com).
