To try and decide each week where and what to eat around the basin can be a challenge – there are so many amazing choices. In this feature we’ll dive into dishes that will surely satisfy those hunger pangs and leave you wondering where to go next.
With football beginning to gear up, it’s always fun to find new dishes that pair well while you’re out and about enjoying the game, and this week’s feature definitely qualifies as one that pairs well. Not only does it give off loaded baked potato vibes, but it also has a playful vibe that elevates everything about it.
Part of that playfulness comes in the form of its presentation. While it might look like a sushi roll, I assure you, it is not. The plate consists of six jumbo tater tots loaded with cheddar cheese, bacon and chives, then topped with sour cream and their house brewery cheese sauce.

I’m not certain what you might consider the four horsemen of the apocalypse when it comes to describing food, but if it’s crispy, creamy, smoky and tangy then beware because this dish has them all. And if burying me in Tater Kegs was a thing, I might sign up for it right now. It checks absolutely every box you would want to in an appetizer, and I may also include a box that says, “I’m not sharing.” Because if you’re with me, that box would also be checked – get your own.
I’m told this menu item was included on the previous owner’s menu and people absolutely loved it, so they had to continue selling. Great choice. Now let’s talk about a to-go order that can fill a coffin. Is that too macabre?
