SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office has filed criminal charges against Erinn Colleen Miller, alleging multiple felony counts of embezzlement, forgery, and money laundering. The charges stem from Miller’s work providing bookkeeping and financial management services to a South Lake Tahoe medical group and a local youth sports organization.

The El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office could not tell the Tribune how much money was allegedly embezzled.

Miller faces a criminal case in Douglas County, Nevada, for allegedly embezzling money from the Zephyr Cove Elementary School Parents Club and the George Whittell High School Booster Club.

These charges are separate from that pending criminal case. The El Dorado County case involves separate victims and an independent course of alleged criminal conduct.

Reporting from Sarah Drinkwine, Record-Courier

School Board trustee Erinn Miller was arrested Thursday for embezzlement on a nationwide warrant issued from South Lake Tahoe at her Dora Court office in Zephyr Cove.

Douglas County deputies took her into custody after allowing her to finish a phone call.

She was booked into Douglas County jail on a no-bail hold.

Prosecutors in her Douglas County case have been referring to possible charges in El Dorado County connected with her bookkeeping business.

She is already on Douglas County Alternative Sentencing.

Because of the warrant, she won’t be able to make bail until she is extradited to California to face those charges.
