SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – A long-time South Shore local and musician, Trey Stone, is in need of some help from the community after being diagnosed with a brain tumor and Alzheimer’s.
A true Tahoe treasure, Stone has intertwined himself through the South Lake Tahoe community for decades, playing at festivals, shows and venues while earning his spot in the Rhythm & Blues Music Hall of Fame.
Now, as medical bills following his diagnosis are stacking up, and an unfortunate situation where his e-bike was stolen, his wife Lisa Quick has called upon the community for support through a GoFundMe page.
While no arrests have been made regarding the person who stole Stone’s e-bike, Quick noted the thief was a member of a family that had been living in a field in South Lake Tahoe.
The GoFundMe has reached $10,500 out of its $11,000 goal as of August 28.
“He is so touched by your love and caring for him. He soaks it up, and it is healing for him in so many ways,” said Quick on the GoFundMe page.
