INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. – The Incline Village REALTORS® announced it has received a $7500 Placemaking Grant to support the Veterans War Memorial in Incline Village, helping transform underutilized public land into a vibrant community space designed to bring people together.
The local grant award is made possible through funding support provided by the National Association of REALTORS® as part of its Community Development Advocacy program, which empowers REALTOR® associations to strengthen their communities through effective advocacy, partnerships, and on-the-ground initiatives.
Through this initiative, Incline Village REALTORS® provided two matching benches for veteran families to rest and view the memorial, working collaboratively with local stakeholders, the IVGID the Incline Village Veterans Club and the Military Officers Association to deliver a project that reflects local needs, community input and shared stewardship.
“As a veteran myself, it is so rewarding to participate in this project on our country’s 250th anniversary and honor veterans and work with veterans on this, who have served in our community. Families and our community deserve a place to sit and relax while viewing the memorial to remember the men and women who sacrificed everything to keep us free today,” said Laura Vitencz, IVR CEO.
Placemaking focuses on creating people-centered public spaces that strengthen neighborhoods by fostering connection, collaboration and civic pride. By providing this grant, Incline Village REALTORS® is helping turn a local vision into a place where residents can gather, engage and build a stronger sense of community.
