STATELINE, Nev. — Will & Ivey Boutique will host two free story time events featuring Lake Tahoe authors on Aug. 22 and Aug. 29. Both events will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the boutique, located at 292 Kingsbury Grade in Stateline.
The events are designed to give local children and families an opportunity to meet area authors, discover new books and participate in creative activities as the new school year begins.
On Saturday, Aug. 22, local author Chantelle Schennings will read her book, “Little Acorn’s Big World.” Children will be invited to participate in activities inspired by the story following the reading.
On Saturday, Aug. 29, local author Kat Madina will read “Grumple the Great.” After the reading, children will participate in a creative activity and make bear masks to take home.
“These events are an opportunity to bring local families together, introduce children to area authors and help them get excited about reading as they begin a new school year,” a Will & Ivey representative said.
Both events are free and open to children and families. Attendees are encouraged to arrive before the 10:30 a.m. start time.
