LAKE TAHOE, Nev. – Tahoe Community Foundation is proud to celebrate its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of connecting generosity with community needs and helping create lasting impact throughout the Tahoe region. Since its founding in 1996, the Community Foundation has granted more than $165 million to support nonprofit organizations, community initiatives, and charitable causes that strengthen the communities of Tahoe and beyond.
Built on perseverance and collaboration, Tahoe Community Foundation was founded by local community members who shared a vision: a thriving Tahoe where philanthropy could serve as a powerful force for good. Over the last 30 years, that vision has grown into a trusted philanthropic partner for individuals, families, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders.
To commemorate its 30th anniversary, Tahoe Community Foundation is investing directly in organizations that help make the Tahoe region stronger, healthier, and more vibrant. Through a special anniversary grant initiative, the Community Foundation has awarded four $30,000 grants to standout nonprofit organizations whose work exemplifies impact, innovation, and community leadership.
The 2026 30th Anniversary Grant recipients are:
- League to Save Lake Tahoe for its leadership in Environmental Stewardship
- SOS Outreach for its work in Education and Mentorship
- Tahoe Family Solutions for advancing community Well-Being
- Thunderbird Nevada Foundation for enriching the region through Arts and Culture
Together, these grants represent a $120,000 investment in four of Tahoe Community Foundation’s core program areas and honor organizations whose efforts improve quality of life throughout the region.
“As we celebrate 30 years of philanthropy, we are honored to recognize these organizations and the important work they do to strengthen our region,” said Claudia Andersen, CEO of Tahoe Community Foundation. “Their efforts reflect the values and community impact that have been at the heart of Tahoe Community Foundation since our beginning.”
The anniversary grants awarded are both a celebration of the Community Foundation’s past and an investment in the future. They recognize the extraordinary nonprofit partners who help turn charitable giving into meaningful, measurable impact for the communities of Tahoe.
As Tahoe Community Foundation enters its fourth decade, it remains committed to fostering philanthropy, strengthening nonprofit organizations, and helping donors create the lasting impact they envision for the communities they love.
