A Lake Tahoe man, who didn’t contest that he battered a woman, is scheduled to report to serve 30 days in jail on Tuesday, according to court documents.
Brandon Richard Johnson-Jack, 37, received a suspended 12-30-month sentence after he was found guilty of battery causing substantial bodily harm.
He was ordered to pay $9,853.32 in restitution to the survivor in the case, who is also suing him.
According to court documents, Johnson-Jack agreed the state could prove he reached through a car window, grabbed the survivor by the hair and tried to pull her out of the vehicle, causing her severe injuries including a concussion.
Johnson-Jack entered the plea on the eve of a May 26 trial.
Under Nevada law, no contest pleas are treated as a guilty plea in a criminal case.
