SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association (TAMBA), in conjunction with The Divided Sky, South Lake Brewing Company, and Visit Lake Tahoe welcomed more than 2,000 attendees to the 14th Annual Tahoe Mountain Bike Festival on June 19-21, raising nearly $40,000 to directly support TAMBA’s work to build and maintain more than 100 miles of multi-use trails throughout the Lake Tahoe Basin.
As Tahoe’s largest weekend-long mountain bike celebration, the festival brought together riders, families, volunteers, local businesses, and outdoor enthusiasts for three days of riding, live music, and community. The free, family-friendly event celebrated Tahoe’s world-class trail system while highlighting the community partners and volunteer spirit that make outdoor recreation in the region possible.

The festival kicked off on Friday, June 19 with a community fundraiser at Cascade Kitchens before moving into a full day of riding at Demo & Skills Day on Saturday. Alongside Tahoe’s largest bike demo offering, this year’s Demo & Skills Day introduced several new additions to the line-up, including free Intro to Bike Jumping, Basic Bike Maintenance, and Trail Design 101 clinics, giving riders of all ages and experience levels new opportunities to build skills and connect with the local trails community. Saturday evening also featured a “Meet the Builders” event with South Lake Tahoe bike brand, Apogee Bikes, where attendees heard from founders Collin Huston and Will Hilgenberg before enjoying the premiere of a new short film by First Tracks Productions.
Sunday morning featured the return of the festival’s signature rides, with participants tackling the Tahoe Triple Crown and the TAMBA Paradise Loop before gathering at the free, family-friendly Tahoe Trail Jam at Tahoe Paradise Park. Thousands of community members came together throughout the afternoon to enjoy live music from the Dead Winter Carpenters, local food and beverages, a vibrant vendor village, huge TAMBA raffles, a free bike valet courtesy of the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition, and plenty of trail-inspired fun. The Tahoe Trail Jam welcomed riders and non-riders alike, creating an inclusive celebration of the outdoor recreation opportunities that make Tahoe such a special place to live and visit.

“Each year, the Tahoe Mountain Bike Festival continues to highlight the incredible passion this community has for trails,” said Drew Bray, TAMBA’s Executive Director. “From riders and volunteers to local businesses and sponsors, this event is only possible because so many people come together to support and celebrate the places we all love to ride. Every volunteer hour, every sponsor, and every festival attendee helped make this weekend a success, and all funds raised will go straight back into Tahoe’s trails – supporting the stewardship work that keeps them sustainable, enjoyable, and accessible for everyone.”
TAMBA extends its sincere gratitude to the US Forest Service and California State Parks, as well as the hundreds of volunteers, community partners, and local businesses whose time, expertise, and generosity made this year’s festival possible.
