STATELINE, Nev. – South Lake Tahoe Mayor Cody Bass was found guilty of harassment in the Tahoe Justice Court on Thursday, Aug. 13.
The verdict arrives following his September 25 arrest last year after an altercation with a bouncer at AleWorx in Stateline, Nev. Body camera footage and security camera footage released last year capture the AleWorx incident and Bass’ arrest.
Bass was originally arrested and charged with assault, trespassing, and harassment. The assault charge was later dropped.
At Thursday’s court appearance, Bass was found not guilty of the trespassing charge.
Bass will be sentenced for one misdemeanor count of harassment on September 1 and could face up to six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
It’s reported that Bass’s attorney, Adam Spicer, plans on appealing.
